On April 1st, WFC returns to Tulsa, OK to FIGHT FOR LUKE at Wrestleland!
It was made official by the Championship Committee one week ago today:
Dutch Hagen’s next challenge for the WFC Heavyweight Championship will be his long time partner, and best friend, Richie Adams!
This is no April Fool’s Joke as the longest reigning tag team champions in WFC history will go one on one for the first time since they buried their feud that ended 5 1/2 years ago in a Last Man Standing Match in which neither man could answer the 10 count.
Tony Snow is furious about this. Dutch seems concerned. And even Richie, who has put his body on the line to help Dutch retain the title repeatedly, didn’t seem thrilled to be forced across the ring from his partner.
The debate has been heated among fans (and Tony Snow) as to who “the weak link” of London Calling is, but the fact is that Richard Pierce’s greatest creation absolutely dominated the tag team titles once they won them, and our Anniversary Show last October ended with these two men on top of the world.
Tony Snow has already unleashed Duke Cornell on Richie Adams, a move that backfired tremendously. He will not stand for the idea that Adams could possibly unseat Dutch Hagen. But there seems to be no animosity between Hagen and Adams. Which one is willing to do whatever it takes to win this match?
